Four rooms are cabled for full coverage of all sporting events. Lounge and kitchen-family room have 85” Samsung Neo high-definition screens.
Pocket doors make it possible to divide the house between the two kitchens so two families can comfortably share the wedding venue with two bedrooms allocated to each side.
High capacity Wi-Fi for 160 persons is enabled in the entire wedding venue.
The music sound system in all rooms and patio is operational via an app to control room-by-room volumes and eliminate the necessity for a DJ. Couples download their playlists from all the major sources, set it, and forget it.
Access our dock on Lake Dunlap with new dam now complete and the lake filled to capacity.
New expansive pier/patio that cantilevers 23' over the lakefront with space for our 40'x40' tent.
Parking for 12 cars in driveway at front of property with half a mile of additional parking along Mary Boulevard on both sides of road for large gatherings. The wedding venue has an 8 person golf cart for shuttle service from the parking area with valet parking options.

History & Architecture
When Kurt Feick reached out to Bart Culbertson to design a special event center in New Braunfels, Texas, Bart brought a way of doing things that he had learned from the mid-century masters of architecture. As one of the few contractors trusted by Philip Johnson, Bart previously had renovated the 5 structures at the famous "Glass House" in New Canaan, CT. Mr. Feick, a childhood friend of the architect, was living in one of the modern masterpieces by Harvard 5 architect Eliot Noyes. In short, Mr. Feick knew what he wanted and most definitely knew what he didn't. Sitting side-by-side throughout the entire Covid epidemic, Mr. Culbertson designed what has come to be called "West River House".
The house is an homage to a famous covered bridge over the West River in West Dummerston, Vermont. The bridge structure has a 25-foot-high interior gable which spans a large gallery serving as the dining area for large events. Beyond the historic feel of the gable, with its authentic aged barnwood and decorated with antiques sprinkled around the wings, the house transitions to a mid-century modern structure with floor to ceiling glass as you cross to the south side of the house facing the lake.
Breathtaking balconies overlook Lake Dunlap providing a treehouse sensation where you can watch birds of prey, herons and our resident cardinals. We hope you enjoy the views, both inside and out--night and day.
